Thank you to our 3rd & 6th Year students
The above year groups have now finished their November assessments. The results of these assessments will be published to parents on Tuesday December 8th. It is important to commend both year groups on their excellent behaviour in the exam hall throughout their exams. The manners and respect that they showed towards their supervising teachers was outstanding. While of course the students know that we have high expectations for them in relation to their behaviour and rules/protocols of exams are explicitly communicated to students prior to all examinations, it is hugely important to praise and acknowledge that excellent behaviour and compliance with school rules. The boys are a credit to you their parents, to their Year Heads, Ms. Ni Fhlatharta (3rd year) and Mr Kelly (6th year) who invest so much time and effort into the boys, and of course their tutors and teachers. Well done!! As always, we are very proud of the boys and of the respect that they so willingly show on a daily basis for everyone here in the College. Thank you.
Christmas Exams For 1st, 2nd & 5th Years (Timetables attached)-all students will be met at assembly to go through exam protocols and will be given a hard copy of their timetables.
Christmas Study for 3rd & 6th Years
In response to the demand from our exam students and their parents, the College is once again offering Supervised Study during the Christmas Holidays . The details are outlined below :
4 days in total: Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31stDecember and Friday 1stJanuary 2021
Each day will consist of 2 Study sessions ; 10am to 12.30pm and in the afternoon 1.30pm to 4pm
Study Fees are €20 per student non-refundable.
If you wish for your son to avail of Christmas Study, please submit the €20 fee in an envelope with the Application Form attached. Places will be issued on a first come first served basis as there are a limited number of places. Adequate social distancing will be in operation in all Study Centres.

The Christmas Shoebox Appeal is an annual campaign where thousands of individuals in Ireland donate shoeboxes filled with gifts to be given to children affected by poverty in Africa or Eastern Europe. It is an opportunity to share a little joy and excitement with children who live in circumstances where these can sometimes be in short supply. You can read their stories at www.TeamHope.ie
This year, due to the effects of Covid-19 restrictions, the Christmas Shoebox Appeal has gone online.
Every €20 donated will allow Team Hope’s partners in Africa and Eastern Europe to purchase items for shoeboxes locally, which will then be packaged and delivered directly into the hands of children.
You can drop donations into the school office or send an envelope in with your son for their class tutor.
To make a virtual box of your own with your child, you can visit www.TeamHope.ie at any time and choose the items you would like to add. You can also upload your colouring page with your donation to personalise your shoebox!
