A message of welcome to our incoming first years who will wear our tie for the first time tomorrow morning.

This is your school. You can become who you want to be here.

Thirty three acres of landscaped grounds, four full sized pitches, three yards. Fresh air and a place where you can grow.

State of the art Physics, Chemistry, Biology, DCG, Art and Tech rooms, and three ultra modern I.T. Labs. Places where you can grow your thoughts.

A full time Chaplaincy, a Meditation Room and Chapel. Places to grow the spirit.

A superb Sports Hall, a newly stocked Weights Room. Places to grow the muscles.

A Library, Sensory Room and brand new ASD unit, a Canteen, an Assembly Hall with its own stage not to mention our forest. Places where you can just relax.

There are 23 classrooms. Places where you can work.

52 teaching staff and 9 ancillary staff. Across 6 years there are 675 students, 113 of whom will like yourselves have their first day tomorrow. People with whom you can share laughs and stories and find an ear when the world is a turbulent place.

In the next half dozen years you will spend 1014 days in what will become a home from home. A time to sow and to reap.

It’s  a new start, an opportunity to begin again. Take all the good things from Primary School with you. Leave behind any of the negative stuff: it is not wanted here. Bring a smile and a willingness to get involved, to meet new people and to try new things.

Munchin’s is a happy school. You will make friends for life here. The staff will help you through the roller coaster of the teenage years. In June 2028 you will walk down our uniquely beautiful avenue, wearing your uniform for the last time, and reflect that, just maybe, these were the best years of your life.
